Song for a Sunday

Back in 1975, the late squeaky-voiced comedian and actor, Charlie Drake, released the single, You Never Know, featuring an unexpected array of musicians including Phil Collins, Robert Fripp, Keith Tippett, Sandy Denny and Peter Gabriel, who produced and co-wrote the song. A contemporary promo sheet also lists Brian Eno as a player. The single sank without a trace.

While still a member of Genesis, Peter Gabriel had recorded a demo of the song during rehearsals for The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.
